Android TV boxes come in two kinds: certified boxes with Google Play and the full Android TV interface, and generic boxes with a phone-style Android home screen. rentIPTV works on both.

The login details in this guide (username demo4821, password pass7395) are examples. Use the ones from your own welcome email.

If your box has Google Play

Follow our Android TV and Google TV guide. Install TiviMate, XCIPTV or IPTV Smarters Pro from Google Play and sign in with Xtream Codes.

If your box has no Google Play (generic boxes)

  1. Open the box’s web browser.
  2. Go to one of our short links to download a player:
  • www.rentiptv.org/xciptv (XCIPTV, light and fast)
  • www.rentiptv.org/iptv-smarters-pro (IPTV Smarters Pro)
  • www.rentiptv.org/iptv-extreme-pro (IPTV Extreme Pro)
  1. When the download finishes, open it from the browser’s downloads or the File Manager app (in the Download folder).
  2. If the box asks, allow the browser or file manager to install unknown apps, then select Install.

Sign in

Open the app and choose Xtream Codes (or “Xtream Codes API”). Enter:

  • Server URL: http://server1.rentiptv.com:8880
  • Username: demo4821
  • Password: pass7395

Tips for TV boxes

  • Cheap boxes have little memory. XCIPTV runs best on them.
  • Restart the box once a week to keep it responsive.
  • Use the remote’s Back button rather than Home to close a channel, so the stream stops and doesn’t use one of your devices in the background.
  • Buffering? Work through the buffering checklist.
