Yes. MAG boxes, Smart STB and some other set-top box apps sign in with a MAC address instead of a username and password, and rentIPTV supports them.

How to order for a MAC address device

  1. Find the MAC address: on the sticker under or behind a MAG box (it starts with 00:1A:79), or in the app’s Device info screen for Smart STB.
  2. At checkout, choose MAG / STB box as your device.
  3. Enter the MAC address in the MAC address field. Double-check it: one wrong character and the box won’t connect.

Forgot to add it? Message us with your order number and the MAC address before your account is set up.

Things to know

  • An account is set up either for a MAC address or for username and password. It can’t be switched later.
  • One MAC address belongs to one device. To use another MAC device, you’ll need it added to your plan’s devices.
  • Your welcome email includes the portal URL to enter on the box.
