The web player won’t load or play

  • Use the exact address http://server1.rentiptv.com:8880/player/. It starts with http://, not https.
  • Try another browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari) or a private window.
  • Turn off ad blockers or privacy extensions for that page.
  • If one channel won’t play, try another. Some channel formats play better in VLC or IPTV Smarters.

VLC won’t open the playlist

  • Paste the link with Media > Open Network Stream rather than opening a saved file. VLC guide.
  • Update VLC: Help > Check for updates (Windows) or download the latest version from videolan.org.
  • Check the link is complete, including type=m3u_plus&output=ts at the end.

VLC stutters

Tools > Preferences (Mac: VLC > Settings) > Show settings: All > Input / Codecs > set Network caching to 3000 ms. Restart VLC.

IPTV Smarters on Windows or Mac

  • Won’t open on Mac: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway.
  • Windows SmartScreen warning: select More info > Run anyway.
  • Login error: check the URL is http://server1.rentiptv.com:8880. Login failed or expired.

Stuttering on any player

  • Use a wired connection if you can.
  • Close downloads, cloud backups and other streaming tabs.
  • On laptops, plug in the charger: battery saver modes can slow video.
