Most IPTV players aren’t in the Amazon Appstore, so on a Fire TV Stick you install them with a free app called Downloader. You only need to set this up once.

Step 1: Install Downloader

  1. From the Fire TV home screen, select Find (magnifying glass), then Search.
  2. Type Downloader and select the app by AFTVnews (orange icon).
  3. Select Get or Download.

Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps

  1. Go to Settings (gear icon) > My Fire TV.
  2. If you don’t see Developer options: select About, then click your device name (for example “Fire TV Stick 4K”) 7 times until it says you’re a developer. Press Back.
  3. Select Developer options > Install unknown apps.
  4. Find Downloader and turn it ON.

On older Fire TV software this is a single switch called Apps from Unknown Sources. Turn it on.

Step 3: Download an app

  1. Open Downloader and allow access to files if asked.
  2. Select the address box on the Home tab and type one of these:

  1. Select Go. The download starts.
  2. When it finishes, select Install, then Done.
  3. Select Delete (twice) to remove the installer file and free up space. The app stays installed.

Step 4: Sign in

Open the new app from Your Apps & Channels (hold the Home button and select Apps). Choose Xtream Codes and enter your server URL, username and password from your welcome email. App-specific guides:
