Most IPTV players aren’t in the Amazon Appstore, so on a Fire TV Stick you install them with a free app called Downloader. You only need to set this up once.
Step 1: Install Downloader
- From the Fire TV home screen, select Find (magnifying glass), then Search.
- Type Downloader and select the app by AFTVnews (orange icon).
- Select Get or Download.
Step 2: Allow Downloader to install apps
- Go to Settings (gear icon) > My Fire TV.
- If you don’t see Developer options: select About, then click your device name (for example “Fire TV Stick 4K”) 7 times until it says you’re a developer. Press Back.
- Select Developer options > Install unknown apps.
- Find Downloader and turn it ON.
On older Fire TV software this is a single switch called Apps from Unknown Sources. Turn it on.
Step 3: Download an app
- Open Downloader and allow access to files if asked.
- Select the address box on the Home tab and type one of these:
| App | Type this in Downloader |
|---|---|
| IPTV Smarters Pro | www.rentiptv.org/iptv-smarters-pro |
| XCIPTV | www.rentiptv.org/xciptv |
| IPTV Extreme Pro | www.rentiptv.org/iptv-extreme-pro |
| IPTV Smart Player | www.rentiptv.org/iptv-smart-player |
| IPTV Player | www.rentiptv.org/iptv-player |
- Select Go. The download starts.
- When it finishes, select Install, then Done.
- Select Delete (twice) to remove the installer file and free up space. The app stays installed.
Step 4: Sign in
Open the new app from Your Apps & Channels (hold the Home button and select Apps). Choose Xtream Codes and enter your server URL, username and password from your welcome email. App-specific guides:
Put the app on your home screen
Hold the Home button, select Apps, highlight your IPTV app, press the Menu button (three lines) and choose Move to front.
Tips
- Fire TV Sticks have little storage. If an install fails, clear space under Settings > Applications > Manage installed applications.
- If streams buffer, see the buffering checklist and Fire TV troubleshooting.
